How the 24-piece minimum works

An order is one unique combination of garment style, garment color and embroidery design. Each order needs at least 24 pieces, sizes can mix freely within it. Quantity breaks at 24, 48 and 72 pieces apply per order, not across your total.

Min 24 pcs
any size mix

Order 1

717 Hoodie · Black · "Lake Crest" design
  • 24 pcs total, mixed sizes S to 2XL
  • Meets the 24 pc minimum
✓ Valid order

Order 2

717 Hoodie · Navy · same "Lake Crest" design
  • 24 pcs, same design, different color
  • New color = its own separate order
✓ Valid order

Order 3

903 Crewneck · Grey Heather · same design
  • 48 pcs, same design, different style
  • Hits the better 48 pc quantity break
✓ Valid order
Quantities don't combine across orders. The three orders above total 96 pieces, but each is counted on its own: Orders 1 and 2 price at the 24 pc break and Order 3 at the 48 pc break. There's no overall program minimum, and no pre-booking or consolidation required: order as many or as few combinations as you like.
Why We Built CanStitch

Embroidery deserved a bigger canvas.

We make fleece. For years we watched what happened to artwork after it left the designer's screen and met the economics of domestic decoration. Pricing by the thousand stitches meant every design got negotiated down: fewer colors, smaller size, simpler shapes, safer placement. A rich, layered piece of art would arrive as a brief and leave as a 10,000-stitch logo on a left chest. Not because anyone wanted it that way, but because that's all the math allowed.

On our factory floor, the math is different. Before a hoodie is a hoodie, it's a stack of cut panels lying perfectly flat, and a flat panel is a canvas. Our machines can run 60,000 or 75,000 stitches across it, in vibrant multi-color, placed anywhere the design wants to go, right up to where the seams will be. Then that panel is sewn into the garment, so the decoration isn't sitting on the product. It is the product.

Design the artwork you actually imagined, and we'll build the garment around it.

So we opened our floor. CanStitch gives designers, decorators and brands the full canvas: factory-level stitch counts, factory pricing and factory quality, from just 24 pieces, delivered blind to your customer's door.

Why it looks this good: we embroider panels, not finished garments

Because decoration happens inside the factory that makes the garment, your design is embroidered on the cut fabric panel before the garment is sewn. The panel lies perfectly flat on the machine, then goes into assembly like any other component. Decorating a finished garment can't match that.

Embroidery on a finished garment

  • Garment is hooped and stretched, so tension varies across the design
  • Puckering and distortion, especially on large or dense designs
  • Placement limited by seams, pockets, zippers and hood
  • Risk of catching the back layer or lining in the stitching

CanStitch panel embroidery

  • Design sewn on a flat, relaxed panel with even tension edge to edge
  • Crisp registration and clean coverage, even on large designs
  • Placement freedom, right up to where seams will be
  • Panel is then sewn into the garment for a factory-original finish

Milltex blanks, the substrate for every stitch

All decoration is produced on our own Milltex fleece, so quality is consistent from the fabric up. Already buy Milltex blanks? The decoration upcharge simply adds to your existing blank pricing.

Frequently asked questions

How is the 24-piece MOQ counted?
MOQ is 24 pieces per style, color and design. Each unique combination of blank style (the substrate), garment color and embroidery design is its own order. There is no overall program minimum and no pre-booking or consolidation required.
How does pricing work?
Your price has two parts: the Milltex blank garment and a per-piece decoration upcharge based on technique and quantity, with breaks at 24, 48 and 72 pieces per order. Shipping and drop-ship delivery are included. Send your artwork for a free digitized stitch count and confirmed all-in pricing, the number we quote is the number you pay, with no complexity surcharges.
What does "blind drop-ship" mean?
We ship every order by UPS directly to your end customer's US address with no Milltex branding on the box or paperwork. Your customer sees your brand only. You never receive, re-pack or re-ship anything.
What if my design has more stitches or colors than included?
Included counts are up to 75,000 stitches for direct embroidery and 60,000 for applique and chenille, each with 4 thread colors. Larger or more colorful designs are quoted case by case, still with no hidden fees. You'll know the exact stitch count for free at digitizing.
Can I get orders faster than 11 weeks?
Yes. An air-freight upgrade is available on any order and cuts the ~6 week ocean leg to days. Ask for the current air rate when you request your quote.
How do re-orders work?
Your design stays digitized and on file. Re-orders in the same design carry similar lead times and are placed in a few clicks through the Threadline web app.
Can I use my own labels and hangtags?
Yes. Choose heat seal labels, custom woven sewn-in neck labels, or hangtags. On orders of 72 pieces and above, one option is included free; additional options carry a small per-piece charge.
